Alf Ove was an assistant with a commercial photographer for seven years but since then he has worked as an independent contractor. First as the owner of his own commercial photo studio, and then as a photo journalist. Alf Ove has made photo features and taken pictures on behalf of newspapers such as VG, Dagbladet, Aftenposten, Dagens Næringsliv and several of Norway’s largest magazines. NTBscanpix, which provides the majority of the Norwegian press with images, has been his biggest client for more than 20 years. He has also found the time to publish a photo book called «365 days in a city,» which includes one image per day for a year. The purpose of the book was to illustrate life in Norway in 2011.

To seek new and fresh inspiration, Alf Ove has moved to Denmark, but still works largely for Norwegian clients.
